Let’s take a deeper dive into mise-en-scene #5

Hi guys, told you id see you in a flash! This week's assignment was quite thrilling if I'm going to be honest. I got to tune in to my creative side while also exploring the different elements that Canva offers allowing me to expand my knowledge on all the designs necessary to create the perfect mise-en-scene. For those of you who may not know exactly what that is, in summary, it's the intentional composition of different elements of the film to portray meaning and mood. That said, I decided what better to do than a beach! Keep scrolling to take a deeper look into what I've been working on...

My beach set-up

My thinking process

The whole purpose of mise-en-scene is to convey a specific tone or meaning to the audience and that's why I felt as though the beach would be a perfect fit for this assignment. I would be lying if I said the only reason I chose the beach was because of its calming ambiance but, I also felt like it would be the easiest design to make through Canva. Canva offers many design elements that truly allowed me to tie the whole setup together. When I think of the beach, I imagine myself tanning under the warm sun with beach balls and birds surrounding my every move. Through this assignment, I was able to not only showcase my perspective of the beach, but I was able to show my fellow blog members some of my creative thinking.

What mood or tone is being conveyed?

When I think about the beach many positive memories flow through my mind. The mood often reflects the relaxation and tranquility I felt during that time. The image above conveys a sense of freedom and escape, with the sound of waves creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. Additionally, it evokes feelings of joy and nostalgia, often tied to memories of the sun, sand, and carefree days. Moreover, I'm reminded of good times with my family creating a blend of serenity and warmth and I hope the viewers reading my blog today were also reminded of some positive times with their loved ones

I shore hope you guys have a great day
