Cambridge season already!? #8

The thought of filming a two-minute film does intimidate me a little, however, I'm excited to showcase my creativity through a live production. Two minutes feels so much longer when you're the one creating the film (my last blog can further support that statement). That said, I plan on using my time wisely to create the best outcome as I foresee possible. The end goal would be to reach the early submission incentive to alleviate the stress of turning in this assignment while on the break.

For the film itself, my partners Ethan, Vince and I decided to target a young audience who may struggle with mental health or the harsh realities of adulting. Now, the "creative side" will be shown through the many edited transitions of a girl's P.O.V. and a boy's P.O.V. undergoing the effects of mental health. Throughout the film, the girl (my sister hopefully) and the boys (Ethan), (Vince) will be doing the same scenes such as their morning routine, school life, and night routine. However, both will have different outcomes with different lifestyles. I'm not quite sure what camera angles we'll be using but, I would edit the video to have it display "low lighting" emphasizing the loss of identity and depression that those with mental health suffer from. Some examples of low-lighting images that I would replicate in our film look as follows:

Moreover, I'm thrilled to see what the outcome of the film will look like. I'm all the more excited to work with a friend that I know shares the same excitement as me and will put forth the necessary effort to conduct this film. With the many weekends we have ahead of us, I'm positive we'll have this film done in no time.
