3.. 2.. 1.. ACTION!
After many trials and error I am writing to you guys today to share a little behind the scenes of this whole editing ordeal. Last blog I told you guys everyone’s roles and I also recall telling you guys my excitement for my role in specific. Well, I take that back! Don’t get me wrong the whole process of making the film was fun but the editing was dreadful to say the least.
Why you might ask. Well, I was struggling to put a green screen practically the whole time. I didn’t think much of it being that majority of my peers had already turned in their edit so it can’t be that bad I thought to myself. But boy was I wrong. My go to editing app is Cap Cut and I use it for practically anything editing related. Me being me I tried doing it myself but of course that didn’t work out AT ALL. I believe its because the app updated over time and it became it little more complex and definitely not user friendly. After about two hours I decided to go on YouTube to try and watch a tutorial but for some reason none were up to date. Thankfully one of my peers (Ethan) was able to find a Tik-Tok that broke it down perfectly for me and truly helped me with the whole green screen process. Although this did take a little while, I’m glad I got to work on my editing skills and found an app (Capcut) that i’m comfortable with for any future films that I may do. This also goes in hand with the 2-minute film considering I will most likely take upon the roll as editor (yes I can be a control freak at times and would feel much more at ease being the editor and knowing I perfected it as best as I could).
Overall, as tiring as it may have been I'm truly glad I went through that whole dilemma as now if I decide to use a green screen for any future films ill already have an idea of more or less what to do.
One more blog to see the final result!!
